Golf is the strangest game sometimes. I went into last week’s Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass and genuinely liked my chances.

But on one of the easiest days for scoring that I’ve ever experienced on this Pete Dye golf course, I went out and shot 74 in the first round and basically blew myself out of the tournament.

You know last week when I said driving was one of the keys here? Unfortunately I drove the ball poorly all day on Thursday and this course is a struggle when you’re hitting a lot of shots out of the rough.
