“The conditions were easier today than previously this week, and I got off to a decent start. I only made one bogey today and then I managed to scramble a bit and sink a couple of birdie putts. I worked on keeping it easy-going today,” he said.
The tournament was shortened to two rounds after strong winds forced the cancellation of the second round on Thursday, but Ferreira brushed off the incident and went on to finish the 36 holes in level-par 144.
Ferreira was safe in the clubhouse while the leaders were still battling it out across the links, and he looked ahead to the coming weeks with confidence after carding a three-under-par round for his final day at Humewood.
“That feels long ago, but I remember doing pretty well. I like the course and the feel of it, so I always enjoy playing here. Links golf is unusual for us on this tour, but it’s always a nice change,” he said.
