ERPM Golf Club came into being in 1903 with just three golfing holes. It was designed for the personnel of East Rand Proprietary Mines. In 1906, 18 holes were completed.

The member successfully negotiated the purchase of the surface right permit and freehold land ownership from the mine in 1990. The new clubhouse was completed in July 2002.

Situated in Boksburg on the East Rand, the course is 10km from Johannesburg International Airport, and is set in park like surroundings. This par 72 course had a SAGA championship rating of 72 and a club rating of 71 in 1997. Rated among the top 50 courses in South Africa, the ERPM Golf Club course had a total revamp in 1993 and today, with its new greens, is regarded as a good test of golf.
