Justin Walters won his second Sunshine Tour title at the Investec Royal Swazi Open last week, and he did it without a seven-iron in his bag.
He damaged it ahead of the tournament, and he reckons he may just go ahead and play without it in future.
Despite missing that seven-iron, he finished the tournament 20-under-par over the four rounds for a total of 45 points in the tournamentÂs unique modified stableford system, with eight points for an albatross, five for an eagle, two for a birdie and none for par. One point was deducted for every bogey and two for double or worse.
HereÂs what he did have in his bag:
Driver: TaylorMade Superfast 10.5 degree
Fairway Woods: TaylorMade Burner TP 13 degree
Putter: Odyssey White Ice No 5
Irons: TaylorMade R9 with 6.5 project X rifle shafts (No seven-iron!)
Wedges: TaylorMade ZTP 52, 58, 60 and 64 degrees
Ball: Titleist Pro1X
Glove: Titleist Players
