104 Professionals will take to the field in the Northern Cape Classic, a new event on the Sunshine Tour.
The tournament will be hosted by Kimberley Golf Club, which was founded in 1890.
The R600,000 tournament will be decided over 54 holes of strokeplay, with a cut to the top 40 and ties after 36 holes.
Players can be expected to pull out all the stops for top honours in the maiden event, but many will not have played the course before and must adjust to this new frontier.
