2015 Alfred Dunhill Championship: Day 2Another top player has decided to pass on the Olympics.

Two days after Adam Scott pulled out of the Summer Games, citing an “extremely busy” schedule, 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen also withdrew himself from consideration.

“I have always represented South Africa with pride so I didn’t make my decision without a great deal of thought,” he said in a statement released through his management company.

With a few months left to qualify, Oosthuizen, No. 12 in the Olympic rankings, was slated to be on the South African team with Branden Grace. Charl Schwartzel (No. 20) is next in line.

Fiji’s Vijay Singh told GolfChannel.com last week that he would not be competing in Rio.
