Pringle of Scotland’s brand ambassadors put on their pink kit in support of breast cancer awareness on Saturday, brightening the fairways at Glendower Golf Club during round two of the BMG Classic.
October is breast cancer awareness month, and after seeing Dean Burmester and Matthew Carvell in pink, Ryan Cairns’ caddy suggested a day of pink to raise awareness within the golfing fraternity.
Pringle immediately jumped on board and, with Irvin Mazibuko also keen on the idea, expanded the wardrobe of their four ambassadors by one pink and white outfit. On Saturday the colours were out, and breast cancer awareness received a golfing contribution.
Speaking on behalf of the players, Cairns said: “It’s a great idea, it feels good and looks good. It’s very cool to be able to bring awareness, and we’re glad to have the opportunity to give something back. And we definitely play better in pink!”
