The Vodacom Origins of Golf series on the Sunshine Tour ended its charity drive on a high note with the final putt-off on the six-tournament series at this week¹s Vodacom Origins of Golf presented by Samsung Final at Zebula.

Gary Todd, the Tournament Director on the Sunshine Tour, and Zambian professional Madalitso Muthiya won a three-hole putt off using a home-made putter, a bunker rake and a putter with a piece of hosepipe for a shaft.

The other teams in the putt-off included Sunshine Tour professional Toto Thimba, businessman Jaco Beukes from SAIL, the grandson of the great Indian golfer Papwa Sewgolum, Nisharlan Sewgolum, Sunshine Tour professional Callum Mowatt, Vodcom¹s Qiniso Nyathi and Sunshine Tour professional Ryan Cairns.

The aim of the charity putt-off throughout the series has been to help raise money for various charities working against gender-based violence in South Africa.
