Ranking Roundup

Charl Schwartzel must look to the Sunshine Tour to recover some lost ground in the Official World Golf Ranking as he slipped to 14th this week.

There is a tussle between Retief Goosen (44th), Ernie Els (45th), and Louis Oosthuizen (47th). All three will be pleased to remain in the top-50, but will threaten their compatriots positions with a move up the ranking.

Further afield, George Coetzee continued to climb and recorded a seven-spot improvement when he moved to 89th in the world.

Still further back, Justin Walters moved to 406th and is clear of countrymen Peter Karmis (417th) and Alex Haindl (420th).

At the top of the World Ranking much stayed the same, with the exception that Webb Simpson’s move from 12th to 10th ousted Phil Mickelson from the World top 10.
