Stonehage Big Easy 30: Jeff Inglis

One of the Big Easy Tour’s most notable contenders, Jeff Inglis is fifth on the Order of Merit this season with a win at Big Easy Wingate to boot.

The big man who represents Altitude Sports has won three Big Easy tournaments since the tour’s inception in 2011. This season he picked up the winner’s cheque at Wingate Country Club, where he battled the elements and shot 66 for the final round to clinch victory.

The ever-smiling 35-year-old has always been top of rankings for accuracy and his iron play will prove crucial at Ebotse Golf Estate come the 23rd of October.

He began the season with a share of 14th at Big Easy Roodepoort, where he carded consecutive rounds of 70 for a four-under-par total.

Top 20 results at Big Easy Centurion, Kempton Park and Irene made the Orkney resident a good bet for victory in the coming months. He clinched the Big Easy Wingate title in June and rocketed up the rankings.

Since then he’s made three cheques in five starts, finishing the season with a sole fifth result at Big Easy Copperleaf, where he shot 68 during the final round.
