Stonehage Big Easy 30: Micky Hough

Zimbabwe’s Micky Hough has teed up in all 11 Big Easy Tournaments this season and, with a win under his belt, heads to the Tour Championship ranked eighth.

One of the few playoff winners on the development tour, Hough had to face off against Daryn Lloyd at Big Easy Observatory in April after both players finished regulation play on a 12-under-par total. Hough carded rounds of 66, 66 to earn his place in the playoff.

On the second playoff hole the Zimbabwean chipped up to eight feet and sank the putt, claiming his first professional title.

The 30-year-old has had an interesting run in the world of golf. Before turning professional he was a European tour caddy and toted the bag for Miguel Angel Jimenez.

With those experiences to back up his solid game, Hough has the ability to shine under pressure and that will prove crucial at the Tour Championship at Ebotse Golf & Country Estate next week.
