In his first year on the Big Easy Tour Stefan Engell Andersen has worked his way to the Tour Championship by finishing the regular season ranked 28th on the Order of Merit.
The Nairobi resident turned professional in 2011 and it took a difficult year on the main tour before he joined the Big Easy.
Moving to the development tour proved to be a good move for Engell Andersen, who picked up a sole third finish at Big Easy Roodepoort in April, where he carded a final-round 66.
Tough courses suit the 23-year-old Kenyan, who took home a share of 14th at Big Easy Wingate and a share of 30th at Big Easy Houghton. Those cheques secured Engell Andersen near the top of the the earnings list, but he needed one more result to clinch a top 30 spot and progress to the Tour Championship.
The result came at Big Easy ERPM, where the Kenya Professional Golf representative finished in a tie for 16th and secured a place at the season finale.
