An early start for Tyrone Mordt proved to be successful as his steady 68 saw him leap up the leaderboard into a tie for second in the clubhouse with the leader having just teed off.
Mordt posted five birdies and a lone bogey on Outeniqua for his four-under par round which he added to his two other two-under par rounds on The Links and Montagu respectively for an overall total of eight-under par for the tournament.
This leaves him currently in a tie for second with Branden Grace who had completed 12 holes with three birdies and no bogeys. James Kingston was a further shot back having completed six holes in one-under par.
Chris Swanepoel and Josh Cunliffe both fired the best rounds of the morning so far with their five-under par efforts on The Links and Montagu respectively. Swanepoel was now six-under for the tournament with Cunliffe a further shot behind.
Overnight leader George Coetzee was currently one-under par through three holes and maintained a three shot advantage over the field.
